Agreeing to these Terms

These Terms are the agreement between you and Probo. When you create an account, you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy. Probo records which version you agreed to and when.

If you don't agree, please don't create an account or use Probo.

Who can use Probo

• You must be 18 or older.
• One person, one account. Your profile photo must show you, and Probo refuses a photo that is already on another account.
• Give your real name and a birthday and email address that are yours.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
• If you open a verifier or certifier account for an organization, you confirm that you may act for it, and these Terms bind the organization as well as you.

You can't use Probo if the law where you live forbids it, or if Probo has closed an account of yours for breaking these Terms.

What you put in Probo stays yours

Your notes, files, tasks, plans, finances, recipes, forms, messages, posts, photos and everything else you create or upload belong to you.

So that Probo can work, you let Probo store, copy, process, show and send that content, only to run Probo for you and for the people you choose to share it with. For example, Probo has to store a message and deliver it to the person you sent it to. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other people already have (a message you sent stays with the person who received it) and backups, which are overwritten in the normal course.

You confirm that you have the right to everything you upload, and that sharing it doesn't break anyone else's rights.

Using Probo responsibly

Don't use Probo to:

• break the law, or help someone else break it;
• harass, threaten, bully or intimidate anyone;
• share intimate images of someone without their consent, including images made or altered by AI;
• share any sexual content involving a minor. Probo reports it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as the law requires, and closes the account;
• pretend to be someone else, or mislead people about who you are;
• upload material you don't have the right to share, such as pirated books;
• send spam, or upload viruses or other harmful code;
• get into accounts or data that aren't yours, test Probo's security without following the security reporting page, or disrupt Probo;
• copy Probo's content in bulk with automated tools, or resell Probo, without our written permission.

Probo may remove content that breaks these rules, and may limit, suspend or close the account responsible.

Probo AI

Probo AI can answer questions, summarise news and take actions in Probo when you ask. Its answers can be wrong, out of date or incomplete, so check anything important before you rely on it. Probo marks what AI wrote and links to its sources where it can.

When you connect your own ChatGPT account, Probo AI sends your requests to OpenAI under that account, so OpenAI's terms apply to that use too. You can disconnect it at any time in Probo's settings.

Some actions, such as sending a message or changing your data, ask for your approval first. You are responsible for what you ask Probo AI to do and for the actions you approve.

Credentials

Certifiers issue credentials and are responsible for what their credentials say. When a credential is checked, Probo confirms that it was signed by the organization shown and whether it has been revoked. Probo doesn't confirm that the facts in a credential are true, and the person checking it decides what it means for them.

Money, meals and other advice

Finance, Forecast, Chef and the rest of Probo help you plan. They aren't financial, tax, legal, medical or nutrition advice. Check allergens and ingredients yourself, and talk to a professional before big decisions.

Copyright complaints

If you believe something in Probo infringes your copyright, send a notice through the contact below. Include:

1. your name, address, phone number and email address;
2. the work you believe is infringed;
3. where the material is in Probo, precisely enough for us to find it;
4. a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
5. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner;
6. your physical or electronic signature.

We remove or disable material after a valid notice and tell the person who posted it, who may send a counter-notice. Probo closes the accounts of people who infringe repeatedly.

Reporting content

Tell us about anything in Probo that breaks these Terms through the contact below. If someone has shared an intimate image of you without your consent, including one made by AI, tell us and we will remove it, and copies of it that we can find, within 48 hours of a valid request.

Leaving Probo, and when Probo may close an account

You can stop using Probo at any time and ask us to delete your account, as the Privacy Policy describes.

Probo may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts people at risk or exposes Probo to legal risk. Where it is safe and lawful, we tell you why and give you a chance to download your content first.

Changes to Probo and to these Terms

Probo keeps changing: features are added, changed and sometimes retired. If we change these Terms in a way that matters, we tell you in Probo before the change takes effect and ask you to agree to the new version. Each version shows its date at the top of this page.

No guarantees

Probo is provided as it is and as available. As far as the law allows, Probo makes no promises that it will always be available, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose.

Limits on liability

As far as the law allows, Probo isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Probo's total liability for any claim about Probo is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Probo in the 12 months before the claim and 50 US dollars.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, or takes away rights you have as a consumer.
